Something For MOI

I decorated this clock and decided to keep it. Actually I cut and pasted the clock in photoshop. I haven't found a clock to fit it yet. And I need to take a better picture

Here is a pic of my shelf and some other junk. On the left is a mason jar with glitter scrapbook paper inside. Under the shelf..behind the scarf is a cat nursing her kitten...she likes the privacy.
And in the brown jar is a captured butterfly.

Sage Green

Sage Green

My next project was to be an exploration of the color Sage green. I will let it go at that and save you all the boring details. Lets just say when you use acrylic sage green paint and cover it with modge podge it doesn't really look sage green but it doesn't look bad. And my other discovery is that I really really like Dark sage green. Like a sage green and moss mixed together. That is a beautifull color. This is me digressing again. Get used to it. My project is a lovely box..somewhat shaped like a trunck..a trunk. I gave it to my friend Sara. She goes ape over my crafts. hehehe!!! I love making stuff for her! Do you have a friend like that?  I spent a lot of time on this. When you know people appreciate it you are extra extra careful with it.

Bird House with No Way In

Time for some new stuff!! I have been busy! Birthday Busy! I love to make things for my friends because they do not craft so they think I am AMAZING hehehe!! Well, except one does craft and she is hard to impress...but I love her anyway...hello Rose!! In fact she gives me advice sometimes. How quickly I digress and I've barely just begun. Where was I?
NEW stuff!!
This first item is a Bird House.  Anyway I smothered it with flowers as you can see. I had so much fun making this.

It is an INDOOR Bird House...decorative only...since there is no way IN!!! LOL!! I bought it that way. Strange no??

And it was very easy to decorate since it had a "handle" on the bottom to turn it all different directions.

On one side is an appliqued butterfly.

Around the bottom, a ribbon with hand sewn beads.

On one side I made a "vine" of flowers going up the wall.

On another side I sewed a heart with lace gathered around it.

Here are some of my recent flowers. What do you think? The 1st one is satin. I think I pulled the gather stitch too tight. The 2nd one I made after a trip to the hospital. It is made fom gauze, sprayed with shimmer mist, and just "finger-glittered" around the edges. The 3rd one is made from wire ribbon . I got the tut from
:Florida crofter.  The 4th one is made from old T shirt twisted and hot glued on the bottom. The last one is shabby so you can use lace and tulle and one other fabric even if it frays and tiny pearl strands. Just gather like a bow, attach something thin in the middle strong enough to hold it together. You don't even have to add a middle piece but this button just seemed to go perfect. Too bad you cant even see the tulle. It was too thin.

Two Dollar Project

Two Dollar Project
This is a gift I made for a friend for Christmas. I purchased from the dollar store 2 items for one dollar each: a glass bowl, and a matching glass goblet. And this is what I did with them.

First I turned the goblet upside down and glued the bottom of it's stand to the underside of the bowl with E-6000 Industrial strength adhesive. I let that set overnight outside, because that stuff stinks to high heaven. Good Lord I cannot stand that smell!!! Smells like a dead animal or some-thin. That cannot be good for asthmatics. Sorry.
Next, I glued on some Chinese Braid that I dyed with Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist by Luminarte. (no smell there) with hot glue. Then, I glued on some tiny little purple flowers I had in my stash all around the edges as shown.

Sorry for the blurry picture, but here you can see the beading that I put on next all around the edge. This beading was actually ripped off of a purse. Then I covered that with more of the dyed Chinese braid, so that it is on the top edge and the side edge of the bowl, then below, and underneath where the bowl and goblet are connected you see more Chinese braid but this is the original gold undyed braid which is quite pretty also. The gold is a very nice color.

Next, I added one more ring of braid around the small "knuckle" of the goblet and added a small gold rose which you can barely make out in this pic. Then I added a spray across the bottom of the goblet containing different size flowers and some pearls. This was dyed with the same shimmering mist. I really like the finishing touch this gave.
